Database, API & file integration

Move the data you need.In a format you can use.

Need to pull data from a database, transform it, and send it to another system? Nexusflow builds custom ETL data pipelines: Extract, Transform, Load. Our Vancouver-based team connects your data sources with the systems and reporting that depend on them.

How we help

Build a dependable path from source to target.

We map the source data and the target requirements, then define the transformations and validation needed between them. The pipeline can use database connections, APIs, or files, depending on what your systems support. We agree on transfer frequency, access, error handling, and how the team will know that the data arrived correctly.

What a project can include

  • Source-to-target field mapping and transformations for the required data format.
  • Scheduled or incremental transfers where the source and target support them.
  • Validation, duplicate handling, and useful failure logs or notifications.
  • Documented deployment, configuration, and operating steps for your team.

A practical example

From an operational database to a reporting model

For example, an operations team could extract daily records, standardise dates and customer identifiers, and load clean tables for Power BI. The same transfer pattern can support periodic data copies. A backup requirement also needs explicit decisions about consistency, retention, security, and restore testing.

Planning your project

Bring the source and target systems, a sample of the data, the expected volume, and the desired schedule. We clarify which records should move, how updates are represented, and what a successful transfer looks like before building the workflow.

Useful questions

What is the difference between ETL and ELT?

ETL transforms data before loading it into the target. ELT loads first and performs transformations in the destination platform. We choose the approach to fit the systems, data volume, and operating requirements.

Can the pipeline run on a schedule or support periodic backups?

Yes, a transfer can be scheduled and used for periodic data copies. When the goal is backup, we also scope retention, consistency, and restoration requirements so a successful transfer is not mistaken for a complete recovery plan.
